Bottled water will be provided throughout the day for both students and staff.
Bathroom facilities remain fully functional and safe for use.
Lunch service will not be affected; all food preparation will follow appropriate safety guidelines.

EDIT: As the afternoon progressed, the boil water advisory did increase to add the Central KV Elementary & KMS. The district immediately provided bottled water for those buildings as well.
Dear Kelloggsville Parents and Guardians,
We'd like to inform you that a boil water advisory is currently in effect for the City of Wyoming, which includes some of our schools (West Elementary, Kelloggsville Early Childhood Learning Center, Kelloggsville High School, and 54th Street Academy). We want you to know that we have taken appropriate precautions to ensure student safety.
Bottled water is available and being provided to students and staff as needed. During this time, all drinking fountains and affected water sources are not being used.
All schools will remain open and dismiss at their regular times.
We are closely monitoring the situation and will let you know if there are any changes.

Have you heard the news? The Astrobots are headed to States! The KHS Robotics team won its competition at GVSU two weeks ago. With their fantastic performance at the East Kentwood Competition last weekend, they earned enough district points to punch their ticket to the state competition!
You will be able to watch the live stream of the competition this weekend from Saginaw! Stay tuned for that information, as we will share it across our socials!
The new laws align Michigan with national standards regarding booster seat use and rear/forward-facing car seat requirements. Motor vehicle accidents are the second leading cause of death for children under 18. The new laws take effect on April 2, 2025. A flier is attached for distribution. The new legislation updates child safety restraint requirements with these key provisions:
- Rear-facing car seats: Required for children until they are at least 2 years old or reach the manufacturer's height and weight limits.
- Forward-facing car seats: Required for children until they are 5 years old or reach the manufacturer's height and weight limits.
- Booster seats: Required for children until they are at least 8 years old or 4 feet 9 inches tall.
