Kindergarten Questions
How old does my child need to be to attend Kindergarten for the 2021-22 school year?

All incoming Kindergarten students must turn 5 by September 1, 2021.

How often will my child go to school when they are in Young 5’s or Kindergarten?

Students in Young 5’s and Kindergarten will go to school all day, five days a week.

Kelloggsville offers two initial placement options for students, Kindergarten and Young 5’s. How will I know which is the right placement for my child?

If your child did not attend our preschool program, there is a good chance that he/she will be screened to determine the best fit. After the screening, our staff will discuss the results and work with you to determine the best placement. For students attending our preschool program on 44th street, we will use the teacher recommendation as a basis for placement.

I would like to come to Kelloggsville but I live out of the district. How do I enroll my child?

The School of Choice window opens up on April 12. Applications and information will be available on the district website beginning the week of April 12th.

My child currently attends pre-school at KECLC on 44th Street. What do I need to do to register my child for Kindergarten?

Parents will be able to register using our online process which will be up and running in the near future.
