54th Street Academy
You are family at 54th Street!
Welcome to 54th Street Academy! 54th Street Academy is the alternative high school at Kelloggsville Public Schools, designed to help students succeed in a flexible and supportive learning environment. Our program provides students with the opportunity to earn their high school diploma with 18 credits and move at a pace that works best for them.
Students who are behind on credits can catch up through our accelerated online learning program, Apex Learning, which allows them to progress through courses more quickly while still receiving support from staff.
In addition to online coursework, students also have opportunities to participate in in-person classes to earn credits and stay connected with teachers and peers. At 54th Street Academy, we focus on helping students stay on track for graduation while building the skills they need for life after high school. Students also have access to several additional opportunities, including the programs listed below.
Group counseling that focuses on core SEL competencies, including self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
Access to career field trips through the high school, as well as the CNA program through Kelloggsville High School.
Opportunity to work with Pathfinders, a nonprofit that meets with students weekly to develop job skills and find employment.
Field trips, including math-based field trips, career trips, and fun trips like to the Whitecaps!
Math tutoring and individual support for students.
Smaller school = more individualized support and attention.
