KV students have many career exploration opportunities available!
Career Lunches
Students can attend Career Lunches at KMS and KHS to learn about a variety of different careers from local business and non-profit partners.
Career Tours
Students at KMS, KHS, and 54th Street can sign up for tours of our business partners to learn about careers available nearby and the different positions they can pursue when they graduate from Kelloggsville.
Career Exploration Programs
Students in 10th-12th grade have the opportunity to enroll in programs that Kelloggsville has partnered with to provide hands-on education focused on specific careers, so that when students graduate, they are ready to enter the job force or have earned college credits. 2026 ArtiFlex Apprenticeship Open Houses
These events are ideal for high school students, young adults, or anyone exploring a hands-on career in the skilled trades. These open houses are FREE to attend, with registration required for the events.

Career Exploration Programs
Launch U - Early/Middle College program designed between GRCC and Kent ISD. Students take GRCC classes in addition to/in place of their basic high school classes. Applications open to 9th grade students starting 2nd semester. Program starts the beginning of 10th grade year.

KCTC - Kent Career Tech Center programs begin in 11th/12th grade. Student visits available through the KISD/KHS starting 1st semester of 10th/11th grade. Students apply to KCTC as 10th/11th grade students

WMCI - West Michigan Construction Institute programs begin in 11th/12th grade. Student visits available starting 1st semester of 10th/11th grade. Students apply to WMCI as 10th/11th grade students and have the choice of selecting General Carpentry or Electrician programs.

Next Steps - Next Step programs begin in 11th/12th grade. Student visits available through the high school starting 1st semester of 10th/11th grade. Students apply to Next Steps as 10th/11th grade students. Selected students participate in the Wood Tech program.

CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant program is a partnership between KHS and the Center for Medical Training. The semester-long program is available to 11th/12th grade students but space is limited. Students have an opportunity to take the CNA-State Certification test upon completion of the program.

RoMan Manufacturing - RoMan Manufacturing developed a 2-year apprenticeship program with KHS for 2 senior students. 11th grade students with a passion for industrial technology, design, welding, etc. have an opportunity to tour RoMan Manufacturing and interview for one of two positions available as 12th graders.

Tours/Job Shadows - Tours/Job shadowing opportunities will be offered throughout the school year for a variety of career pathways. Space may be limited. Sign-ups for tours/job shadows will be available through student school emails.
