Elementary Programs: Kindergarten - 5th Grade
KVS Elementary Student Virtual Expectations
Each day will start with the student's mentor holding a virtual morning SOAR meeting to check-in with the student and their general wellbeing, prepare the student for the day, and answer any general questions the student may have. These virtual meetings will take about 30 minutes each day.
Our students will be expected to attend virtual learning sessions daily via Google Meets. These sessions will be going over & helping students with their weekly assignments that are released via Schoology at the beginning of each week. Students will be expected to work 3-4 hours a day between their assignments and their virtual meetings.
KVS Elementary At Home Expectations
An at-home learning coach will be designated by their parent/guardian to help them navigate through their curriculum at home. The at-home learning coach will work together with the student's KVS mentor to ensure the student’s academic success. Regular communication is expected between the student, the at-home learning coach, and the mentor throughout the week.
KVS Elementary In-Person Intervention Opportunities
An Academic Intervention Room is available at the Kelloggsville Early Childhood Learning Center with a certified teacher available to help students with their coursework. The purpose of this room is for students to complete small group work, take assessments, meet with counselors, and get academic interventions as needed. Parents/Guardians may sign their child up for available sessions at the beginning of each semester. The student will be expected to attend the sessions that they have been signed up for the entire semester unless approved by the administration. It is recommended, but not required that each elementary student is signed up for two sessions a week

Secondary Programs: 6th - 12th Grades
KVS Secondary Student Virtual Expectations
Each day the student will be expected to attend a virtual PRIDE meeting with their mentor to check-in with the student and their general wellbeing, prepare the student for their lessons, and answer any general questions the student may have. These virtual meetings will take about 30 minutes each day.
Teachers will release all of the student's coursework at the start of the week. Students should expect to spend 30-45 minutes per class per day to complete work.
Our Middle School students will be expected to attend morning PRIDE meetings as well as their daily scheduled virtual lesson. Our High School students will be expected to attend daily morning PRIDE meetings.
KVS Secondary In-Person Academic Help Opportunities
An Academic Help Room is available at Kelloggsville High School with a certified teachers available to help students with their coursework. Students will enter through the KVS entrance to the left of the main entrance. The purpose of this room is for students to complete assignments, take tests, meet with counselors, and get academic help as needed. Students may not attend more than one session a day and do not have to stay for the entire session if they complete their needed tasks.
1st session: 9:30 AM-11:15 AM (Monday through Friday)
2nd session: 12:15 PM-2:00 PM (Monday through Friday)
